Our Founder's Story
Shelia M. Sells Founder & Executive Director
Shelia founded A Place I Call Home Inc. because she believes housing insecurity isn't the end of someone's story; it's a chapter that can be rewritten with the right support.
Guided by faith and grounded in community, she's building partnerships and programs designed for one purpose: helping people rebuild their lives with dignity, on their own terms.

"Join us for an evening of music, hope & human dignity."
Homes for Dignity presents: LET'S GET THEM OFF THE STREETS, bringing the community together in recognition of the humanity of our neighbors experiencing homelessness and in support of real solutions.
The evening will feature Marcel Smith, Quinn Hedges, Pastor Alder, and a special introduction of The Senior Strummers.
Hosted by Sally Shapiro & Randy Hartley and co-hosted by Marina Texeira.
Proceeds benefit A Place I Call Home, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
